blog plug time!
Wild Cat Fact #33: The snow leopard's range in central and south Asia is rugged mountainous regions of approximately 1,230,000 square kilometers, which extends through 12 countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

now i'd like to give a nod to those who have exchanged sponsorships with me!

at lunchtime, i mentioned Missy over at the Chef's Table, supporting the National Kidney Foundation in honor of her best friend David. like all cancers and other such terminal conditions, kidney disease must be eradicated! i pray that it's done in our lifetime--that a few (or more) years from now, David himself might get to see a world without the disease that threatened his life.

like Missy, Jen over at So What's Plan B? is also blogging for a cause special to her heart--the the Precclampsia Foundation. her little boy Daniel was born at only 29 weeks because she developed precclampsia. thankfully the hospital staff where she was recognized it and saved them both. if you visit her blog, you can see pics of baby Daniel (the "Daniel-kitten" as her cat Edda has dubbed him...i love it).

Lissa Ann offered to do a tit-for-tat pledge with me and i realized i had never heard of her charity, Modest Needs, before. they have, as their website states, "a simple but critical mission: we work to stop the cycle of poverty BEFORE it starts for the low-income workers whom conventional philanthropy has forgotten". what an absolutely NEAT idea.

and last but not least, Lindsey over at Suspension of Disbelief is blogging for a very great cause--the Actors' Fund, which assists all professionals involved in the entertainment industries. as a die-hard supporter of the fine arts and disgusted with the way it's being slowly whittled out of the schools in favor of wasting MORE unnecessary money on "sports" (i.e. more like so the schools can fill up a trophy case), i'm glad to see that an organization like this exists.

so visit them and, if you can, give them a little towards their causes!! and thank YOU four for sponsoring me and the Cat House!!
